Audrey Ann by Mary Engelbreit

I miss Mary Engelbreit's Home Companion. This page is taken from her short-lived newsletter, Leading the Artful Life, which folded years ago before I had a chance to subscribe. I've found a few on eBay--there's a lot of charm within its 16 pages, features about craft, nostalgic essays and letters from readers.

Mary does have a blog, with some amazing links to paper artists, which you can see here.

I love her essay about letting go--she misses her magazine as much as we do. Martha Stewart's Living replaced the balance of ME subscriptions, but it's not the same. I used to grab ME and read through it as soon as it arrived; Living lies on the coffee table, unread for days. No surprises in it. And no paper doll.
